As an award-winning nature photographer, specializing in wildlife, I have always been an avid outdoors woman, finding solitude while being one with Mother Earth. Every photo in its own way tells a story, and every shot that I have taken has been guided by Spirit. I follow my Native American heritage, a path that has taught me to honor all that I see and do. I have been taught by my Elders that everything in nature is wild, everything has its own song, and its own story to be told. When we become silent, we can hear the Spirits of Mother Earth speaking to us, telling her story....... a story of harmony with all the creatures and with ourselves. Within the wildness of the unknown, there are many things, waiting to be seen. That is where you will find me.
In my works, I try to show others what it is like to see and feel the emotions of Mother Earth through the lens of the camera. From watching the curious fox peeking through the grass, or an eagle soaring upon the wind currents, its wildlife in their natural habitat. To experience and capture the fury of the waves that break upon the rocky coastline or the beauty of the sun setting along the horizon.... Mother Earth gives us the chance to see her in many ways, and this is what my photography is about. It is important to me that we capture these moments that may never come again, so that we may educate and preserve them for future generations to come.
One of my favorite quotes goes like this……
The moment you see something you want to shoot; you owe it to yourself to tune in and find your voice. Listen, trust your intuition. Do so and you will have a deeper place from which to create your art.

There are many that have inspired me, many who have helped me achieve my goals and continue to do so, and for that I am blessed and grateful to be able to share this journey with not only them, yet with everyone through my works. I will always be out exploring all that there is, for I believe that the journey is meant to be experienced, lived, and documented.
My photos are frequently 'shared' on Facebook, where I maintain a personal as well as photography page, Donna Knowles Photography. All my images are captured in JEPG format with either a Canon T6, Canon Powershot SX530HS or Lumix DMC-FZ200 digital camera.
And so the adventure awaits.....and into the wild I go!
